Steel moves fast. Control has to move first.
Speed matching between stands, cut timing at the shear, sequences on the cooling bed: in a rolling mill, every movement waits for a signal. BEISCO solves automation together with established partners in the field.
A mill's mechanics and its control are one system. If the stands lose their speed match, the bar loops or pulls. If the shear fires late, the cut is off. If a sequence hangs, the line waits. Control systems go out of date long before the machines they run, and their spares get harder to find.
BEISCO starts from the machine. We design and build the equipment the control has to move, so we know what it has to do.

Where control matters in a rolling mill
- Reheating furnaceCharging and discharging sequences, temperature and combustion control: the billet leaves the furnace ready to roll.
- Rolling mill standsSpeed matching between stands and loop control: the bar must neither pull nor pile up.
- ShearsCut timing for head, tail and length: a late signal is a wrong cut.
- Cooling bed and finishingTransfer, counting, bundling and binding sequences, timed to the mill.
- MeltshopSequences, interlocks and monitoring around the furnace and the ladle.
What we supply in automation
- PLC and control systemsControl systems for new lines and for replacing control that has gone out of date.
- Automation equipmentField devices, remote I/O and the network that connects the line to its control.
- Sensors and instrumentationPosition, speed, temperature, pressure and hot-metal detection: the signals the control relies on.
- Drives and motorsDrives and motors matched to the mechanical equipment they move, from the stands to the auxiliaries.
- Electrical control panelsControl and power panels, built and documented for the plant they go into.
- Process control solutionsProcess control for the line, from a single machine sequence to the coordination of the mill.
How we work
- 01The lineWe survey the line, the control running today and its spares.
- 02The conceptWith our partner, we define what to keep, replace or add.
- 03The supplyControl, drives, sensors and panels, from one source.
- 04The start-upInstallation and commissioning support on site, with the mill.
With established partners.
BEISCO solves automation together with established partners in the field. We know what the mechanical equipment has to do; they bring their control products and the engineering behind them. For the mill, that means one contact for all of it.
